Why Does a Vending Machine Make Noise?

Generally speaking, it is normal for a vending machine to emit sound upon startup. The primary source of noise occurs during the cooling cycle when the compressor activates — this operational sound is entirely normal. Additionally, noise may result from:

Improper leveling: If the machine is not placed on a stable, level surface, refrigerant flow becomes unstable during system startup, causing the internal compressor to vibrate and generate noise.

Refrigerant turbulence: Uneven placement disrupts the refrigerant's stable circulation within the closed-loop system.

It is worth noting that when an unmanned vending machine produces noticeable noise, this often indicates that the condenser requires cleaning. Accumulated dust on the condenser forces the compressor to work harder, increasing both noise levels and energy consumption.
